About East Asian Medicine
East Asian Medicine (EAM) is an ancient healing system that has been around for over 2,500 years. This system is built on five core pillars: Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Nutrition, Movement (Qi Gong) and Therapeutic Massage (Tui Na). Together, these five pillars offer a complete system of care that nurtures balance, resilience and well-being by honoring the connection between body, mind and spirit.
Acupuncture is rooted in the idea that the body has everything it needs to balance and heal itself. Your body is extremely intelligent. When stress, injury or illness disrupts balance, acupuncture can be used as a tool to guide the body back into harmony. Each acupuncture point requests a specific action from your body to restore the smooth flow of “Qi” (our vital energy). When Qi is balanced and unobstructed, the organs, tissues and systems receive the nourishment they need to function optimally.
From a biomedical perspective, very fine, sterile and disposable needles are placed at specific points to stimulate the nervous system. This triggers the release of neurotransmitters and endorphins, increases blood circulation and activates the body’s natural pain-relief and healing responses. Studies show that acupuncture can influence the immune system, reduce inflammation and help regulate the body’s stress response. Together, these mechanisms explain why acupuncture is effective for a wide range of conditions from chronic pain and stress to digestive, hormonal and sleep issues.

My services
Acupuncture
Fine, sterile and disposable needles are gently inserted into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, or Qi (our vital energy). This safe and effective therapy can help with pain management, stress reduction, digestive issues, hormonal balance, sleep and more. Acupuncture is performed in a series of treatments and the effect is cumulative. Once you get to a balanced place, regular “tune-up” acupuncture sessions every once a month are recommended to maintain optimal wellness and vitality.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture is a gentle, natural approach to rejuvenating your skin. It increases circulation, boosts collagen production and improves muscle tone. The result is a refreshed, radiant complexion with reduced fine lines, puffiness and tension. Beyond cosmetic benefits, facial acupuncture addresses underlying imbalances in the body, supporting stress relief, improved sleep and enhanced energy. It’s a holistic, non-invasive alternative to botox, fillers and surgical treatments to nourish your skin from the inside out. A series of 10 treatments once per week is recommended for optimal results.
Herbal Medicine
Customized herbal formulas combine the wisdom of centuries with modern understanding to address your specific health concerns. From teas to capsules and tinctures, herbs are carefully selected to support immunity, improve digestion, relieve stress, balance hormones and enhance vitality.
Fire Cupping
Cupping therapy combines heat with gentle suction to mobilize blood flow, release tension, and promote relaxation. It is commonly used for muscle soreness, chronic pain, respiratory issues and overall detoxification.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha uses a smooth-edged tool to massage and scrape the skin, helping release tension, improve circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage. It is effective for muscle stiffness and facial rejuvenation.
Microneedling w/ Apple Stem Cells
Microneedling with apple stem cells is an advanced, non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve skin texture and promote collagen production. Tiny, controlled micro-injuries stimulate your skin’s collagen and elastin production, while nutrient-rich apple stem cell serums enhance cellular regeneration, improve texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scars without harsh chemicals or invasive procedures. A topical numbing cream is applied to ensure maximum comfort throughout the treatment.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion involves the application of heat from burning the herb mugwort near specific acupuncture points. This warming therapy enhances circulation, strengthens immunity, supports reproductive health and can improve chronic conditions related to cold or stagnant energy in the body
E-Stim (Electrical Stimulation Therapy)
E-Stim uses gentle electrical currents to stimulate muscles and nerves, promoting circulation, reducing pain and enhancing tissue healing. This safe, non-invasive therapy can relieve chronic pain, reduce muscle tension, improve mobility and support rehabilitation after injury. Used alongside acupuncture or other therapies, E-Stim helps your body recover more efficiently.
Lifestyle & Nutritional Counseling
Combining both Western and Eastern wisdom, this style of counseling emphasizes the connection between mind, body and spirit by providing guidance on diet, exercise and daily routines that support your body’s natural rhythms, improve digestion, balance hormones and enhance long-term wellness outside of the treatment room.

Acupuncture is generally not painful and many people are surprised by how gentle it feels. The needles are very fine (about the width of a human hair) and are inserted with care. Some patients feel a slight pinch or tingling sensation that quickly fades, while many report feeling deeply relaxed during treatment.
